The 3,125nm-range Cessna Citation X was unique in wing design, avionics, and AE3007C1 engines over earlier Citation models. A jet quicker than any other civil airplane flying (525ktas) resulted. The models delivered after 2001 enjoy extra thrust, greater MTOW and improved Honeywell avionics over older units.
What makes the Citation X stand out?
Speed first comes to mind when thinking about the Cessna Citation X. For several years it was the fastest civilian aircraft at Mach 0.92. Powered by two Rolls-Royce AE3007 turbofans, the Citation X also flies well above the weather (51,000ft), and has a maximum range of 3,125nm. Owing to upgrades, models built after 2002 offer extra thrust, MTOW and improved Honeywell avionics.
