One of the most original examples flying in the world today! This stunning WWII example is estimated to be 95% original per the day it rolled off the production line at Castle Bromwich in 1943. It’s military history is well documented in its records including it’s victory over an FW190 on the 24th September 1943. The aircraft also featured heavily in the movie “The Battle of Britain” where it played the part of several different aircraft. Other than for maintenance and shipping the aircraft was never taken apart! This is truly one of the finest examples of the Mk. IX Spitfire in existence!
