Beechcraft King Air C90GTx Turboprop Overview

By Gerrard Cowan - Editor, Aircraft Reviews

The Beechcraft King Air C90GTx is the most recent entrant in a line of successful twin-engine King Air 90-series turboprops. This entry-level aircraft is ideal for small business use.

The C90GTx was launched in 2010, offering a number of improvements over the C90GTi, and was built until 2021 when parent company Textron Aviation announced it would end production of the aircraft.

A true ‘workhorse’ of the twin-engine turboprop world, the King Air C90GTi seats up to seven passengers (though it is typically equipped with five executive seats), and provides an appealing blend of comfort, durability, and flexibility. The aircraft has a maximum range of 1,260nm.

In  September 2022 , there had been 203 Beechcraft King Air C90GTx units produced, according to data from JETNET.

For the latest market data and full specification information for the King Air C90GTX, view the live data feeds on this page from Aircraft Blue Book, JETNET, Conklin & de Decker and Asset Insight.

What features does the Beechcraft King Air C90GTx offer?

The Beechcraft King Air C90GTx originally came equipped with a Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system, though this was upgraded in 2017 to introduce the Collins ProLine Fusion system.

Other improvements over the previous aircraft in the series include the introduction of a heated and pressurized baggage storage area that’s accessible in flight. The aircraft has two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-135 engines.

Although the aircraft is no longer produced, it was modified and upgraded over the years, with new features delivering shorter take-off and landing distances, providing improved handling, and boosting the passenger experience.

What came before and after the Beechcraft King Air C90GTx?

The C90GTx is part of an aircraft family that’s been in development since the 1960s. The King Air C90GT was introduced in 2006 utilizing new PT6A-135A engines, before the King Air C90GTi was launched in 2008 adding the Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system to the line.
