The current version of Beechcraft's popular Beech King Air is the C90GTx which is ideal for small business use and features a number of improvements over the C90GTi. It has a gross weight increase and is fitted with winglets which together improve takeoff performance and increase range and fuel efficiency, making the 6-passenger C90GTx a real workhorse.
The Beechcraft King Air C90GTx costs between $2.60m for a 2010 model, up to $3.70m for a 2020 model, according for Aircraft Bluebook’s Autumn 2022 data. Those values represent average retail for the model year. The actual sale price of a specific King Air C90GTx model will vary greatly, and could be higher or lower than the average retail, depending on maintenance condition, damage history, time on the airframe and engines before the next major inspection is due, and more. The buyer and seller will negotiate an acceptable price based on the aircraft-specific factors.
There are a number of options in the modern turboprop market for similar numbers of passengers as the Beechcraft King Air C90GTx, such as the single-engine Daher TBM 930, which also typically carries five passengers, but offers a longer range.
The King Air C90GTx is particularly notable for its relatively large cabin, which is 50% larger than those found in some very light jets, according to Textron Aviation. The squared-oval cabin design aims to boost passenger comfort to the highest levels.
The King Air C90GTx improves on 2008’s King Air C90GTi in a number of ways, but most notably through increasing the maximum take-off weight to 10,585lbs.
