The Cessna Citation IISP was developed as Cessna aimed to better align its early jet products to compete with the predominantly single-pilot turboprop market; the 'SP' in the IISP's title represents its Single Pilot capabilities. Thus, in the Citation IISP, the Citation II was re-certified for single-pilot ops.

What makes the Citation IISP stand out?
Practical and easy-handling, the important distinguishing factor for the Pratt & Whitney JT15D-4-powered, 1,190nm-range Cessna Citation IISP is the fact that it is re-certified for single pilot operations (hence the addition of ‘SP’ to its name). That’s important given that Cessna produced the model to compete with leading turboprops in the market at the time of its development.
