What Impacts a Gulfstream G450’s Price? 

Several factors can impact the price of a Gulfstream G450 jet. Buyers should remember that the condition and value of one aircraft within the fleet can differ greatly from another (even between aircraft that were produced in the same year).

Fair market value of a specific G450 must be negotiated between the buyer and seller and will be affected by many factors.

Firstly there is the aircraft's production year, and how it has been equipped, configured and modified since new (compared to comparable aircraft within the fleet), and its maintenance condition.

When considering the maintenance condition, buyers should account not only for the wear and tear on the interior and exterior of the aircraft, but also the aircraft’s proximity to any scheduled overhauls or inspections – and whether or not it is enrolled on an hourly maintenance cost program.

These factors will ultimately determine the final sale price in a transaction.

Does the G450 Fleet for Sale Number Matter?

Another factor that can drive an aircraft’s value on the used jet market is the percentage of an aircraft’s fleet that is for sale. As a very rough rule of thumb, newer aircraft (i.e., those aged below five years) tend to command more buyer interest. When combined with a relatively small proportion of the fleet being for sale on the used aircraft market this can impact the price of a jet, giving the seller a better bargaining position when the market is healthy.
