A Gulfstream G650ER costs between $37m for a 2012 model, up to $59m for a 2021 model, according to Aircraft Bluebook’s Autumn 2022 data. These values represent the average retail price for the model years. Individual models could cost more, or less than the average, depending on their pedigree. This is determined by a variety of airplane-specific factors, like it’s maintenance condition, the quality of its logbooks, whether an aircraft remains under manufacturer warranty or is enrolled on an hourly maintenance cost program, and various other things.
The Gulfstream G650ER is notable for its speed. Most recently, it flew to Tucson, Arizona from Singapore at an average speed of 597mph over a distance of 8,379nm. The total flight time was 15 hours and 23 minutes, setting a new record for the farthest, fastest flight.
The G650 and G650ER are similar in design and features, though the G650ER provides greater range, owing to an increase in fuel capacity. This longer range is still achieved at a very high speed, making the G650ER a strong choice for intercontinental business travellers around the world.

The Gulfstream G650ER is a longer-range version of the successful G650 Large Jet. Both aircraft offer ultra-long-range travel, in comfort, to hundreds of operators around the globe.
Specifically, the Gulfstream G650ER was first delivered in late 2014, and is capable of carrying passengers for 7,500nm at Mach 0.85, or 6,400nm at Mach 0.90. It can accommodate up to 19 passengers and sleeps up to 10, with four living areas in the cabin.
Remaining in production today, according to JETNET data Gulfstream had produced 347 G650ER jets, as of September 2022.
What features does the Gulfstream G650ER offer?
The Gulfstream G650ER features two Rolls-Royce BR725 engines. It has a Gulfstream PlaneView II avionics suite, aimed at boosting safety, and cutting back on pilot workload.
The aircraft has received a range of improvements and upgrades over the years, such as steep-approach certification, helping expand the range of airports that operators can access. It also now features Gulfstream’s Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS), designed to allow authorized pilots to land without natural vision in low-visibility conditions.
Future enhancements will include the manufacturer’s Predictive Landing Performance System, aimed at helping pilots avoid runway overruns.
The aircraft is designed to provide the very best in comfort to its cabin occupants, with what Gulfstream labels the quietest cabin at the lowest cabin altitude.
What came before and after the Gulfstream G650ER?
The Gulfstream G650ER is based on the original G650, which also remains in production and flies 7,000nm at Mach 0.85 and 6,000nm at Mach 0.90.
And, in late 2019, Gulfstream announced the latest addition to the successful ultra-long-range jet family: the G700, which the company calls its ‘titan of the skies’. A new aircraft capable of travelling as far as 7,500nm, the G700 will feature Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, new Gulfstream winglets, and more.
