The Global 5000 was developed by Bombardier based on the Global Express. It kept many of the best elements of the original model, but Bombardier shortened the fuselage and range in the case of the Global 5000.
Today, the Bombardier Global 5000 jet is one of the fastest-flying Large Jets in the market, while also boasting shorter runway performance than many other aircraft in its class. In production since 2005, the Bombardier Global 5000 utilizes a pair of Rolls-Royce BR710-A2-20 turbofan engines.

A typical cabin configuration would include four seats in two-club formation at the front of the cabin, a club-four seating arrangement towards the middle of the cabin, and to the aft a three-place divan located opposite two further seats facing each other.
Two pilots are required to fly the Global 5000, and a cabin attendant is also necessary.
