Testimonial

I believe AvBuyer is the best medium for advertising aircraft and do get a lot of leads from the listings. We even get reminders to reply to inquiries, which is better than the competition.

Scott Wagner, Helicopter Marketing Associates, LLC

As a first-time user of AvBuyer I was not sure of the exposure, or support I would receive with my listing. When I reached out to a former fellow Vermonter David Olcott, I knew I had made the right decision in choosing AvBuyer as our marketing platform. It could not have been easier. The day the posting went up, there were so many people sending inquiries I could not believe it!

Tina Lindberg, Mansfield Heliflight

We are using several vendors for the purpose of selling our aircraft. In this respect AVB has proven being the number one in both effective customer support and number of responses related to our advertisements!

Agusta A109C Helicopter Overview

By Gerrard Cowan - Editor, Aircraft Reviews

The Agusta A109C is twin-engine light turbine helicopter which ceased production back in the mid-1990s after a seven-year production run. It continues to find interest in the pre-owned market today. Buyers are still attracted to many of the features of this upgraded version of the popular twin-turbine light helicopter.

The A109C is significantly upgraded compared to the Agusta A109A executive helicopter, bringing an improved transmission system, a greater gross weight and a stronger undercarriage.

According to JETNET data, Agusta produced 71 A109C models during its production run, more than 80% of which remain in operation today.

What came before and after the Agusta A109C?

The Agusta A109C is part of a longstanding, prominent family of commercial helicopters, which are now known as the AW109 range, manufactured by Leonardo. The family began with the A109, which made its first flight in the early 1970s, and was powered by two Allison Model 250-C20 engines.

The series continues to find demand in the new aircraft market today, with Leonardo now focused on the AW109 GrandNew, which is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW207C engines and has a maximum range of 464nm.

Leonardo highlights the AW109 GrandNew’s powerful engines, streamlined fuselage, new transmission and main rotor technology, which provides operators with an excellent performance and a high maximum cruise speed of 289km/h. And Leonardo especially particularly highlights the modern digital avionics with advanced satellite navigation and synthetic vision/enhanced vision system capabilities.

The AW109 Trekker is also available, offering fixed landing skids and the ability to operate in challenging environments thanks to its Genesys Aerosystems avionics.
