Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy Jets for Sale

The Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy is a member of the successful Falcon 900 Large Jet series, which has been in continuous production since 1986, with more than 500 units built across all model derivatives (nearly all of which are still in service).

Retaining the TFE731-60 engine, the key difference in the 4,750nm-range Dassault Falcon 900EX/EASy over the 900EX model is the Honeywell Primus Epic Enhanced Avionics System (EASy), an integrated modular avionics suite and cockpit display system offering better integration of aircraft systems.

FAQs: Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy Jets for Sale

Here are the most Frequently Asked Questions for Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy Jets for sale
  • How much does a Falcon 900EX EASy cost?

A Falcon 900EX EASy costs between $15m for a 2003 model and $18.50m for a 2010 model jet, according to Aircraft Bluebook’s Autumn 2022 data. These figures represent average retail prices. The sale price of individual aircraft could be higher or lower than the average, depending on the pedigree of the aircraft.

  • What competes with the Falcon 900EX EASy?

The Falcon 900EX EASy competes with a number of aircraft on the pre-owned market, such as the Gulfstream G450, an upgraded version of the GIV-SP.

  • What makes the Falcon 900EX EASy stand out?

The new avionics and digital cockpit are the stand-out features of the Falcon 900EX EASy. The avionics suite offered a range of attractive options that still hold appeal today, such as a synthetic vision system (SVS), runway awareness and advisory system (RAAS), an optional Automatic Descent Mode, and much more. The EASy flight deck’s ‘T’ layout, featuring four screens has particular appeal to pilots, with two primary flight displays left and right and two stacked multi-function displays in the center, which facilitate information-sharing between pilots.

  • What is the difference between a Falcon 900EX EASy and a Dassault Falcon 900LX?

The Falcon 900LX replaced the Falcon 900EX EASy on Dassault’s production line, and remains in production today. It began delivering in 2010. The Falcon 900LX is powered by the same three Honeywell TFE731-60 engines as the Falcon 900EX EASy, but boasts the more advanced EASy II Flight Deck featuring the Honeywell Primus Epic System. Moreover, the blended winglet-equipped Falcon 900LX carries between 12 and 14 passengers and has an even greater maximum range than the Falcon 900EX EASy, stretching to 4,750nm.

Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy Jet Overview

By Gerrard Cowan-Editor, Aircraft Reviews

Like all Falcon business jets, the Dassault Falcon 900 model has a strong military heritage, and was designed in the same engineering department as the Mirage and Rafale fighter jets. The original Falcon 900 was Dassault’s first wide-cabin aircraft, and then – as now – was one of the most fuel-efficient aircraft in its class.

Dassault emphasizes the overwater confidence, durability and reliability provided through the tri-jet design. The Falcon 900EX EASy entered the market in 2003, and the key difference to its predecessor was the addition of a new Enhanced Avionics System (EASy) digital cockpit, derived from the Honeywell Primus Epic system.

Dassault finished production of the Falcon 900EX EASy in 2010, at which point the company had shipped more than 122 units to customers around the world, according to JETNET data.

What features does the Falcon 900EX EASy offer?

The Falcon 900EX EASy is an extended-range version of the Falcon 900 series, with a range of about 4,500nm. Typically accommodating up to 12 passengers, as with other Falcons, its adaptable wing with leading edge slats and Fowler flaps allows for slow approaches, excellent short-field performance, and the ability to fly steep descent procedures into challenging airports.

Beyond the avionics upgrade reflected in its ‘EASy’ suffix, the aircraft benefits from systems and features such as Honeywell’s TFE731 engines. Moreover, like its predecessor, the Falcon 900EX EASy has a cabin with three seating areas and a large baggage compartment.

The cabin’s roomy proportions have been a strong selling point of the Falcon 900 series, and were eventually adopted onto the Falcon 2000 family and the Falcon 7X.

What came before and after the Falcon 900EX EASy?

The Falcon 900EX EASy is an enhanced version of the 900EX (which entered service in the mid-1990s). Eventually, the Falcon 900EX EASy was replaced by the Falcon 900LX, which is the current production aircraft in the series.
